Policy
Editorial and medical review policy
Families make important decisions using the information on this website. This policy explains how we write, check and update it.
Who writes our content
Pages are written by the EarWell Centers editorial team in plain language for parents and clinicians. The author is shown on each article.
Medical review
Clinical pages are reviewed by a qualified physician, currently Dr. Steve Byrd, MD. A page shows “Medically reviewed by Dr. Steve Byrd, MD” with a date only when he has reviewed that exact version. If the page is edited afterward, the review label is removed until the new version is reviewed again. We never update review dates automatically.
Sources
Where we describe research or clinical guidance, we list our sources on the page. We prefer peer-reviewed research and guidance from professional organizations.
What we will not publish
- Guaranteed results or invented success rates
- Rigid treatment deadlines presented as rules for every baby
- Unverified claims about regulatory status, credentials, prices or office details
- Generated images presented as clinical results
Images
Clinical photographs show real patients and are used with permission. Some lifestyle images on this site are illustrations and do not show our patients, staff or offices.
Updates and corrections
We review pages regularly and when guidance changes. If you notice an error, please call 214-540-1428 or use our contact page.
